Who We Are

Blue Hill Heritage Trust is a private, charitable, not-for-profit, community-based land conservation organization that was founded in 1985 by residents of the Blue Hill Peninsula. We are a membership organization that relies on the contributions of its members for financial support. Anyone interested in our work is welcome to join us as a member.

A volunteer Board of Directors, which is elected by the membership and meets bi-monthly, governs the organization, with day-to-day management provided by a staff of three persons, led by an Executive Director. We rely on volunteers to help with various aspects of our work. We maintain an office in Blue Hill, currently located at 258 Mountain Road, which is open Monday through Friday.
