Having Fun With Fungus

Saturday, September 15th, 9am to 11am

Since graduating from the University of Califonia Kirk Gentalen has worked as a naturalist in 11 different states. From Alaska to Georgia, ecotourism to environmental education. Currently living on Vinalhaven, Kirk is a trail steward for Maine Coast Heritage Trust and is a professional Nature Photographer. On his website, www.kirkgentalenphotography.com you will find amazing pictures of puffins, whales and of course, mushrooms.

September in Maine is the time that wild mushrooms are most abundant. Kirk will help us identify the good the bad and the ugly of the fungus world found at the 878 acre Kingdom Woods Conservation area.
