The Secret Lives of Frogs, Newts and Salamander
Saturday April 28th, 10 am to Noon Our first Walk and Talk of 2007 will be held at The Kingdom Woods Conservation area in Blue Hill. Led by Enoch Albert, who has a Master’s degree in zoology and wrote the chapter on Eastern Newts in the 1999 edition of “Maine Amphibians and Reptiles”, participants will be shown the best places to find amphibians and how to identify the various species found in this part of Maine. Participants be looking under logs, leaves and rocks and dipping into vernal pools to investigate these amphibians of early spring. The program is free and open to the public.
